The L.O.V.E Pledge
I will consider the consequences of my actions on other people’s safety and emotions.
I accept that people have different perspectives.
I will not make or write hate comments to, or about, another person.
I will not share racist posts on social media.
I will not vandalize public or private property.
I commit to being a respectful, kind and loving human being.
An additional commitment
When I feel angry, I will pause,
take a few deep breaths and think carefully about whether what I am about to say or do
will harm somebody else.
If it will, I will breathe in again, and repeat the following words:
“I choose Love Over Violence, Every Time”
until I have calmed myself down and have
changed my course of action.
